SAN ANTONIO -

A shootout on the highway Tuesday afternoon may be a case of road rage, investigators said.

Police officials said they are not sure exactly how the incident got started, but said that three people in a Range Rover were shot at by one or two people in a red Honda.

The driver of the Range Rover was able to get away and ended up at Vance Jackson and Wurzbach.

The vehicle was hit several times but nobody inside was injured.

Police a few minutes later found a car believed to be shooter's not far away in the 1300 block of Gardina, but the assailants were not around.

No arrests have been made and the search continues.
