SAN ANTONIO -

An 18-year-old woman is accused of stabbing and killing a 17-year-old boy Monday morning at a home in the 100 block of Samoth Drive on the Southeast Side.

San Antonio police officers were called to the home just before 6 a.m. Monday for a report of a cutting.

One of residents in the home told investigators the victim stabbed himself.

Officers questioned the other people living in the home, including Maria Duenas, 18, who initially told them she found the victim in the bathroom bleeding but her story wasn't adding up for detectives.

After further questioning, she confessed to police that she stabbed the victim, identified as 17-year-old Adrian Sosa.

Sosa was taken to SAMMC where authorities said he later died of a single stab wound to the chest.

While the investigation is still ongoing, it's believed the pair got into a fight about something posted to Facebook in the hours leading up to the stabbing.

The relationship between Sosa and Duenas is not clear yet but it appears they were living together in the home with other roommates.

Duenas has been taken to the magistrates office where she will be booked on murder charges.
