SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police are asking for the public's help in finding a man who they said robbed a Valero just south of downtown.

According to police investigators, the man robbed the gas station just after 10 p.m. on Jan. 7.

Police said he threatened the clerk with pepper spray, then stole money from the register when the clerk opened it.

The robber fled in a white vehicle.

The robber is described as being a Hispanic male between the ages of 27 and 30, about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, sunglasses and a San Antonio Police Department beanie.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect's identity or his whereabouts are urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible for this crime.
