SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio police officer that was hired to escort voters to the polls will serve a three-day suspension from the department.
Videos posted on the Medina for Mayor Facebook page showed two officers blocking traffic and escorting a caravan of supporters to vote in the city election.

One officer can be seen wearing a San Antonio Police Department patch on his uniform. The Police Department confirmed that officer is one of its own, who did not seek approval for the off-duty job.
The officer was riding his personal motorcycle at the time.
The Police Department did not release the officer's name because he works in an undercover capacity.
When questioned last week about the police escorts, Manuel Medina, who lost his mayoral bid, maintained that neither officers in the video worked for SAPD.
However, Medina could not say with which departments the officers did work for, only that he hired them using a private company.
