SAN ANTONIO -

A 34-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a burglary in which more than $40,000 worth of cellphones were stolen.

San Antonio police say Lourdes Lara-Victoria also may have played a role in several other business break-ins.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that investigators obtained video from a Touchstone Wireless store that showed a woman shooting out the store window on Jan. 12 and entering the business with a man.

Police said the pair stole about $41,000 worth of cellphones, the affidavit stated.

They said other businesses, including a Planet Fitness in the 11200 block of Potranco Road and several Dollar General stores, had reported similar burglaries.

Lara-Victoria worked as a manager at a Dollar General store at the time, the affidavit stated.

Investigators said they traced a vehicle seen in some of the surveillance video to Lara-Victoria and took her into custody on a separate warrant on Feb. 10.

The affidavit stated that while in a police officer's patrol car, Lara-Victoria was caught on surveillance camera, placing a call on a cellphone.

Investigators said using pictures from the surveillance camera, they were able to identify that phone as one of those that was stolen from the Touchstone Wireless store in January.

Lara-Victoria was arrested on a charge of burglary Tuesday.
