SAN ANTONIO -

A brave San Antonio girl who lost her battle to brain cancer last week will be honored on Thursday.

A rosary service will be held for Savannah Gomez at Ortiz Mortuary in the 3100 block of Culebra Road at 7 p.m. A viewing begins earlier Thursday at 1 p.m.

Savannah's parents ask that those who attend wear bright colors to the service. Gomez died Friday night at the age of six.

More than a hundred people gathered outside her home Sunday for a candlelight vigil.

Savannah’s parents said they would continue to raise awareness for childhood cancer as a way to help their daughter’s legacy live on.
