SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Water System said vandalism is to blame for a sanitary sewer overflow.
Crews are responding to a spill that happened Thursday in the far southwest part of the city close to Catalina Bay and Indian Creek.

The manhole cover was stolen and multiple foreign objects were taken from the pipe.
The spill amount exceeded the requirement for public notice. Cleanup in the area is underway.
