Scorching temps expected through weekend across San Antonio

San Antonio temperatures hit records Saturday, could hit 102 degrees Sunday

SAN ANTONIO – Temperatures in San Antonio reached record highs on Saturday, and the scorching heat is expected to stick around South Central Texas on Sunday.

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says Sunday's high will be around 102 while lows are expected to be around 76 this weekend.

The National Weather Service predicts a slight chance of isolated showers and storms Sunday.

Mike says "cooler" temperatures, around 93, will come in next week.

Several days of intense heat will be felt across a large portion of the Southwest as well.

The National Weather Service predicts highs of 118 in Phoenix and 117 in Las Vegas on Sunday.
