Search continues for driver in NW Side hit-and-run accident

Incident occurred Nov. 27, 2016 in 4800 block of W. Cambray Dr

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Police Department and Crime Stoppers want the public’s assistance in tracking down the person responsible for a hit-and-run accident on the city's Northwest Side.

The accident occurred Nov. 27, 2016 in the 4800 block of West Cambray Drive.

According to police, the 10-year-old victim hit was retrieving an item from a car parked across the street from where he was visiting. After getting the item, the victim was attempting to cross again when he was hit by a black car, police said.

The driver of the car, a woman, stopped briefly but never exited the vehicle before driving away without giving any assistance or aid to the victim, police said.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (210) 224-STOP.

Tips can also be texted to CRIMES (274637) or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
