Dozens of law enforcement agencies joined forces with the Garden Ridge Police Department on Saturday in an effort to find a 33-year-old woman, who has been missing for more than a week.

Despite the search efforts on the ground and in the air, Leanne Bearden is still missing.

"We searched about 23 square miles," said Dale Laine with the Texas State Guard. "Including some areas beyond what we would typically consider a cone of area where a missing person might be."

Leanne was last seen on Jan. 17.

Her husband told police that they were visiting his parents in the city of Garden Ridge when she went for a walk and never returned.

Garden Ridge Police Chief Donna O'Conner said they have had a few calls from residents saying they remember seeing Bearden walking, but as far as Saturday's search, they did not find anything to lead them to believe that Bearden is in the area.

"We have exhausted the area surrounding our city," said O'Conner. "And, we continue to follow all leads."

While O'Conner said Saturday that it appears there was no crime committed in the immediate area, Leanne's brother, Michael Hecht, said he still has a lot of unanswered questions.

"The issue here is there are no clues," said Hecht. "There are no articles of clothing found, no items. We have no idea. You can think of all different types of scenarios. Right now, honestly, we don't know."

Garden Ridge Police are concluding their search of the area for now, but they will still be following up on leads.
