According to an arrest affidavit, investigators said DeLeon was known to be involved with the Mexican Mafia but had been saying he was "out."

On top of that, investigators wrote in the affidavit that a few days before the homicide, DeLeon had a large amount of meth he was looking to sell.

DeLeon's body was found in the front yard of Morales' parents' home in the 13800 block of West Loop 1604 on Jan. 30, according to the affidavit. Both parents told investigators they saw Morales and DeLeon sitting in a truck in the front yard the night before, the court paper said.

About 15 minutes later, they heard shots.

Both men remain behind bars in the Bexar County Jail.
