SAN ANTONIO -

A pair of sewer line collapses resulted in the spill of more than 200,000 gallons of sewage following Saturday's record rainfall.
According to San Antonio Water System officials, a 36-inch sewer line at Kendalia and McCauley was overwhelmed by flood waters, resulting in the spill of more than 100,000 gallons of sewage. The spill was contained Sunday night.
On Saturday morning, floodwaters caused a 54-inch sewer line to collapse along Mission Road near Mission Concepcion. More than 100,000 gallons of sewage spilled as a result.
No adverse effects were reported from either spill and SAWS was monitoring the situation.
