SAN ANTONIO -

An altercation at a Northwest Side restaurant lead to a man being stabbed several times. The stabbing happened in the Mama Margie’s parking lot at around 4:30 a.m. Saturday.

The victim, identified by police as 32-year-old Johnny Ray Torres, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“They stole my brother from us and it was over something so senseless. They will be held accountable and I’m going to make sure justice is served," said Torres’ sister, Priscilla Torres Kelley.

Kelley said her brother was grabbing a late bite to eat when he found himself in a confrontation with several men.

"He got into an argument with some young boys that were accusing him of urinating on their tires," said Kelley.

Torres leaves behind two sons, ages six and eight.

"In his last days all he could talk about was love and (the) new kind of love that he had found. Love that he had found in Christ. He was trying to get close to his family members,” Kelley said.

A total of four people were detained and questioned. It is unclear whether they they face any charges.
