A bucket of roses sits as tribute in front of the home of Eva and Fidel Meza, who were both were found shot to death early Monday morning.

Investigators have arrested the couple's 19-year-old son, Bryant Meza, in connection with their deaths.

According to court papers, Meza's uncle and cousin -- who lived in the home with the family -- woke up to loud noises yesterday morning.

They found Eva and Fidel Meza dead in their bedroom.

They told police that after calling 911, they tried to subdue Meza after he dropped the weapon on the floor, by holding him down and even punching him in the face.

But Meza managed to break away from both of them.

Neighbor Robert Marquis said, "(They were a) very quiet family. I've walked passed there with the dog many times."

He said he still can't believe his neighbors are dead.

"They seemed to be very friendly, as far as saying hello, good morning and things like that," Marquis said. "I used to see the boy out in his car playing his music and stuff so I was shocked."

Investigators later arrested Bryant Meza in the woods behind his parents’ home.

He is currently being held at the Bexar County Jail, charged with capital murder-multiple persons.

If convicted, he could receive the death penalty.
