WICHITA, Kansas -

A small plane en route to New Braunfels crashed in Kansas on Friday morning.

There were no survivors, although it wasn't immediately known how many people were on board, KAKE-TV in Wichita, Kansas, reported on its website.

The plane split apart before crashing to the ground, the report stated.

The Cessna 500 Citation 1 was registered to Dr. Edward Dufresne, a traveling minister with World Harvest Church in Murrieta, Calif.

According to the itinerary on the church's website, Dufresne was scheduled to speak Friday night at the Word & Spirit Church in Schertz.

It wasn't immediately known if Dufresne was among the victims.
