Sole bus survivor of deadly crash that killed 13 released from hospital

Driver of truck was released Tuesday

SAN ANTONIO – The sole survivor from the deadly bus crash in Uvalde County has been released from the hospital.

The 64-year-old woman was being treated at the San Antonio Military Medical Center after last Wednesday’s crash. The other 13 people aboard the bus were killed when a driver of a pickup crashed head-on with it.

The driver of the truck, 20-year-old Jack Young, was also released from the hospital Tuesday.

The National Transportation Safety Board is wrapping up its investigation in Uvalde County this week. A preliminary report will be released in about a month.
