Son of critically injured firefighter Brad Phipps to throw first pitch at Missions baseball benefit

The San Antonio Missions baseball club will hold raffle benefiting Phipps family

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Missions, in conjunction with Missions Care, will host a raffle Sunday benefiting the family of a San Antonio firefighter who suffered serious burns while fighting a deadly fire at Ingram Square last week.

Guests will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for $1 and a winner will be selected after the game. The winner will take home 50 percent of ticket sales and the other half will go to the family of firefighter Brad Phipps.

In addition to the raffle, Phipps' oldest son Jack will throw the ceremonial first pitch. Phipps' family is expected to attend the game.

The Missions play the Springfield Cardinals Sunday at 5 p.m. 

Phipps' son is expected to deliver the first pitch at 4:45 p.m.

Tickets to the game can be purchased HERE.

Country music star Pat Green is scheduled to perform after the game. Tickets to the baseball game also give game-goers access to the concert and firework show.
