SAN ANTONIO -

The UTSA Roadrunners kick off their 2013 football season Saturday.

Excitement for the season has been building from fans all over town and joining in on that excitement are Sonic restaurants.

"They are a vital part of our community," said Graig Jacobson, area marketer for Sonic. "We thought it would be a good fit with UTSA (football) being very new and the interest being generated behind it."

To show their support Sonic unveiled a new burger: the Rowdy Brisket Cheeseburger.

Not only is what's in the burger special, but what is on top of the bun is special as well -- an eatable UTSA logo.

It only gets better from there.

Underneath, brisket on a hamburger patty with barbecue sauce, some pickles, onions and cheese and you have a new twist on an old favorite.

"It's awesome," said Celine Cabarrelo, a burger and Roadrunner fan.

Part of the proceeds from the sale of the burgers will go to the UTSA  athletic program.

"Not everybody gets their own burger. It is unique and we're excited about it," Jacobson said.
