SAN ANTONIO -

A armed robber held a Sonic restaurant at gunpoint and took off with some cash, San Antonio police said.

Police said the robbery happened Friday just before 1 a.m. at the Sonic in the 1200 block of West Avenue on the northwest side.

According to police, a suspect wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face approached employees, displayed a gun and took off with the night deposit.

The suspect was last seen fleeing on foot into a wooded area behind the restaurant.

Police did not say how much money was stolen. No injuries were reported.
