Somerset eighth-grade quarterback Zadock Dinkelmann received national headlines over the weekend when he made a non-binding verbal agreement to play football for the Louisiana State University Tigers.

Dinkelmann committed to the Tigers last week after receiving a scholarship offer - but he can't even sign a national letter of intent until February 2018.

Dinkelmann is already 6 foot 4 and weighs 190 pounds. His verbal commitment is the earliest known commitment in college football since a 13-year-old committed to Southern Cal in 2010.
