The new Esquire TV show "Friday Night Tykes" is getting unwanted attention for its depiction of some teams within the Texas Youth Football & Cheer Association.

The show premiered Tuesday night and has been the focus of criticism for showing coaches making kids run laps in 104-degree heat and putting players back on the field after vomiting. Kids are also shown hitting helmet-to-helmet, raising concerns about concussions and head injuries.

The Texas Youth Football Association responded to the show on their Facebook page, saying "[the] actions and language of the coach/volunteer participants is not indicative to the character and behavior of all of the coach/volunteers in our organization."
