For the fifth time in less than three years, the South San Antonio Independent School District will search for a new superintendent.
According to the San Antonio-Express News, South San ISD Interim Superintendent Mourette Hodge submitted her resignation this week after a heated meeting Wednesday evening.
Two trustees reportedly stormed out of the meeting which was held to discuss several district issues including an evaluation of Hodge and a code of conduct designed to help trustees better police themselves.
According to the South San ISD website, the board of trustees is scheduled to meet again Monday to discuss the latest resignation.
Hodge has worked as a teacher and administrator for the district for 31 years. She replaced Rebecca Robinson, who resigned this past July.
