BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – A Southeast Bexar County man is in custody after he allegedly fired gunshots as a crew attempted to repossess his vehicle, then engaged in an all night standoff with sheriff's deputies.
Deputy Marin Mata, a public information officer for the Bexar County Sheriff's Office, said the standoff ended early Thursday morning after SWAT officers fired tear gas into the home.
Deputies initially responded to the home, located in the 15600 block of Stuart Road, shortly before 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Mata said they were told a man there had fired shots either at, or in the direction of, a crew who had arrived to repossess his vehicle. No one was hit by the gunfire.
However, after deputies arrived the man refused to come out of the home, which also contained several other people, Mata said.
He said throughout the night SWAT negotiators made contact with someone in the home by phone several times. Each time, though, that person hung up.
Finally around 4 a.m., SWAT officers fired into the home forcing five people, including the original suspect, out onto the porch.
Mata said deputies took custody of all of them. He was not sure right away how many of those people would be facing charges.
KSAT 12 however later spoke with three teenage relatives of the suspect. They said they were inside the home during the standoff but the suspect is the only person actually facing charges.
