Another store clerk claims to have had a run-in with Adam Kramer, 28, the man accused of threatening two people with a sword during separate robberies last week.

Kramer was arrested last Thursday on a charge of aggravated robbery.

On Monday, an additional attempted robbery charge was filed against him.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, Kramer walked into a convenience store in the 9700 block of Miramar Boulevard on Dec. 2 and asked for $50 worth of gas.

The clerk told Converse police that when she asked Kramer how he’d pay for it, he told her it would be free, then threatened to kill her, the affidavit stated.

The woman also told police she saw a sword hanging from his waist at the time, the affidavit stated.

She said after attempting to climb over the counter, Kramer suddenly handed her a $20 bill for the gas and walked out of the store, the affidavit stated.

The following day, a waitress at a restaurant in South Bexar County told sheriff’s investigators that Kramer pulled out a sword and threatened her after she refused to give him free tacos.

The restaurant, in the 500 block of S. Loop 1604 E., is next door to a convenience store where Amelia Martinez works.

Martinez said Kramer also came into Ruiz Market the same day, looking for free food.

"He just walked in and asked what kind of food we sold. And I told him pizza,” she said. “He stood over there next to the counter and said, 'Well, I want a pizza but I don’t have any money.'"

Martinez said she noticed what she thought was a scarf dangling from his waist.

She said only later did she find out from a customer who was in the store at the time that it actually was a sword.

"But he didn't pull it out or threaten me or nothing. He just stood there and watched me," Martinez said.

She said Kramer eventually turned and walked out of the business.

Since no crime actually was committed, Martinez did not report the incident.

She said after Kramer left her business, he also visited another store about four miles down the road.

So far, no charges have been filed against him in connection with anything at that location.
