SAN ANTONIO -

Surveillance photos have led to the arrest of Daniel Jimenez, 41, a repeat car burglary suspect, police said.

The latest charge against Jimenez stems from a car break-in on Oct. 30 at a restaurant parking lot in the 100 block of SW Loop 410.

The car owner told San Antonio police that when he returned to his vehicle after getting a bite to eat, he discovered it had been burglarized, an arrest warrant affidavit stated.

Police obtained surveillance video from the business and later issued a bulletin that showed a man walking around a white Pontiac parked next to the victim's car.

While patrolling the same area Dec. 2, an officer spotted a white Pontiac that matched the description in the parking lot and questioned the driver -- who turned out to be Jimenez, the affidavit stated.

Police said Jimenez admitted that the man in the photos did resemble him, the affidavit stated.

Charges were officially filed against him Wednesday.

Records show Jimenez has been arrested for vehicle burglary at least four times in the past.
