The suspect accused of setting another man on fire has now been officially charged with the crime.

William Friesenhan, 61, is charged with capital murder and arson in the death of 63-year-old Clayton Ferguson.

According to an arrest affidavit, Friesenhahn intentionally set fire to Ferguson last Friday morning in an RV on Mauermann Road near Applewhite Road. Police said the incident occurred when the men got into an argument.

Ferguson was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center where he later died.

The affidavit goes on to say Friesenhahn fled from the scene and crashed his vehicle into an excavated land pit.

San Antonio police found Friesenhan in the truck upside down. He broke his arm and suffered burns on his arms, legs and back.

The affidavit stated Friesenhahn admitted to paramedics that he used gasoline to burn Ferguson and himself.
