SAN ANTONIO -

A pair wanted for the Jan. 1 slaying of a 69-year-old man inside his Canyon Lake home were arrested Friday night in Corpus Christi.

James Spencer, 69, was found dead Wednesday. Neighbors said he was stabbed to death.

His car, a white Lexus, was missing.

Comal County investigators named Spencer's grandson, 19-year-old Austin Byron, and the teen's 18-year-old fiancee, Skyler Burghart, as suspects in the killing.

Corpus Christi Police found the car Friday night with two men inside. They told police where to find Byron and Burghart.

Police found the pair at a motel. Both were taken to the Nueces County Jail and charged with evading arrest.
