SAN ANTONIO -

Two men are facing charges after San Antonio police made a drug bust early Wednesday morning on the Northeast Side.

A detective in an unmarked vehicle watched the pair leave a hotel on Loop 410 around 2 a.m. and then called for marked police units to pull the driver over.

The driver stopped near Perrin Beitel Road and Clear Spring Drive, but officers say the men inside did not want to get out of the car.

The driver then rammed into the unmarked police unit before police finally broke a window on the car and pulled out the driver.

Officers found a handgun, an unknown amount of cash and five to six ounces of meth inside.

The pair has been charged with felony drug possession with intent to distribute, police said. Police said they had been observing the suspects for some time.

No officers were injured during the incident.
