A 19-year-old man is accused of forcing a 16-year-old boy into prostitution under the guise that it was part of an initiation process for a white supremacist group.
John Pugh was arrested Tuesday on charges of compelling prostitution and trafficking of persons younger than 18.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that the 16-year-old alleged victim made an outcry in April to his drug counselor at the Hays County Juvenile Detention Center.
The affidavit stated that the Department of Public Safety then took over the investigation.
The affidavit stated that the teen told investigators he first met Pugh in early 2012 at the Sutter’s Mill Apartments on San Antonio’s North Side.
He said he eventually agreed to perform sex acts with Pugh in exchange for money and drugs, the affidavit stated.
Later, the teen said, Pugh arranged for him to have sex with men who he had never met before, the affidavit stated.
According to the affidavit, the 16-year-old told investigators that Pugh convinced him that the sex sessions were part of an initiation process for the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas.
