Texas A&M-San Antonio held a luncheon Wednesday to raise money for student scholarships.
The event was held at The Pearl with the proceeds going to scholarships for students in the San Antonio area.
It was the Texas A&M San Antonio Foundation's 4th Annual Scholarship Luncheon.
Foundation officials said the money raised through the event funds scholarships, which many students rely on.
"A lot of our students depend on financial aid, so we try to raise money for scholarships for them to attend school," said Mark Outlaw.
During the luncheon, two couples were honored with the Dream Maker Award. It is given to people who have made significant contributions to make higher education possible.
