Texas Monthly has unveiled its annual Bum Steer Awards issue and there are more than just one Bum Steer this year.

The magazine named Lieutenant David Dewhurst, Senator Ted Cruz, the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans joint Bum Steers of the Year.  The one thing all four have in common: the city of Houston.

Texas Monthly cited Dewhurst's embarrassing moment back in August when he tried to get his nephew's wife out of jail after she was arrested for shoplifting.

Cruz received his award for speaking for more than 21 hours about a bill in an effort to delay a vote on a government spending bill and his opposition to the Affordable Care Act.

The Houston Astros and the Houston Texans were also added to the list for their woeful seasons.  The Astros finished with the worst record in Major League Baseball this past season.  After winning the first two games of the season, the Texans have lost 11 straight games.  They've changed quarterbacks and have fired head coach Gary Kubiak.
