Texas ‘most wanted' gang member captured

Johnny Garcia. 35, wanted for parole violation, kidnapping

SAN ANTONIO – A Texas Mexican Mafia gang member, and one of Texas’ most wanted fugitives, is in custody after he was captured on Friday.

Johnny Garcia, 35, was wanted for a parole violation and kidnapping. Members of the U.S. Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, with officers from the San Antonio Police Department Repeat Offenders Program, arrested Garcia at a home in south San Antonio.

Authorities said Garcia had been wanted since April. His criminal history includes convictions for assault, weapons offenses and drugs.
