Nothing stirs up the competition like a little dodgeball. That's exactly how episode three of "The Bachelorette" kicked off.

During the group date, the men were given pointers from the National Dodgeball League, then it was game on.

The bachelors were divided into two teams and you can only imagine what happened when the balls went flying.

Following the intense match, all the men walked away winners, but Brooks ended up in the hospital.  He broke his finger during the game.

In my last post I wrote how I was a proud member of team Brooks.  So you can imagine how much I hated to see him in so much pain.

In the end, Brooks pushed through like a trooper and even made it to the group date after party.

This "Bachelorette" junkie thought the surprise of the night came when Brad opened up about his son and past relationship. I loved seeing this sensitive side of him.  He could be one to watch out for.

Alas, quiet Chris came out of the shadows to overshadow Brooks and Brad.  He took Des onto the rooftop for some sweet alone time.  Their chemistry was evident and he was given a rose.

Kasey got the one on one date.  But before the pair could enjoy their day on Sunset Boulevard, a girlfriend bombshell was revealed.  In walk Stephanie, Brian's girlfriend.

Brian said the couple was not in a relationship, but it was clear he was twisting the truth.

My jaw almost hit the floor as this scene unfolded.  Brian had flown under the radar during the first couple episodes so you can imagine my shock when this twist was revealed.  Des was not feeling his excuses and showed him the door.

Then it was finally time for Kasey's date, and it could summed up in one word, disastrous.

The night was filled with thoughts of Brian's girlfriend, dancing off the side of a building, and a wild California windstorm.   Despite the roller coaster of emotions, I was happy to see Des give Kasey a rose at the end of the night.

The guns came out blazing during the second group date.  The men were put through an intense cowboy boot camp.

I felt like I was in the middle of a wild west adventure. Cowboy James ended up riding into the sunset with the lady and the rose.

Then Ben. Oh Ben. He continues to disappoint me. Before the pool cocktail party, he stole Des away, yet again, for some alone time, and to top it all off, he lied to the other men about it.

Combine that with his bizarre tank top, and he lost even more cool points. The other men were clearly upset, and quite frankly, so was I.

During the rose ceremony, emotions ran high as Brandon was sent home. Des decided it was time for him to go after he told her he was falling in love with her.

Even though I was never a huge fan of Brandon, I couldn't help but ache with him during his exit interview.

Ben steals the spotlight again during the preview for next week's episode. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Be sure to tune in Monday nights at 7 p.m. on KSAT 12.
