Three teens were forcing a 71-year-old grandmother to beg for money outside of a Montgomery County Walmart, according to Montgomery County deputy constables.
Montgomery County deputy constables say this happened at the Walmart in Porter at Highway 59.
Deputies charged 19-year-old James Cerda Junior, his twin brother Joshua, and 18-year-old Ashley Ramey with felony exploitation of the elderly.
Investigators say they caught the three forcing the twins' grandmother to panhandle after a shopper alerted a deputy who was driving by.
When the deputy questioned the grandmother, she said the trio forced her to beg frequently and always required her to do it alone.
The boys live with their grandmother in a home in Porter.
The deputy says when he asked them why they forced her to beg strangers for money they told him because they didn't like to beg.
Each of the three teens were being held on a $3,000 bond. Ashley Ramey also had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.
