SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio Police said a trio of thieves left a trail of destruction during three robberies overnight Wednesday.

Police said the suspects first hit a Food Mart in the 2900 block of Pleasanton Road Tuesday night around 10 p.m.

SAPD said the three masked men walked in, took a large amount of money and then fled.

About 30 minutes later, three men matching the same descriptions and armed with guns held up a clerk at the Piknik Food Mart in the 4600 block of South Flores Street.

Later, the Fine Food Mart in the 2600 block of West Avenue on the Northwest side was robbed.

Officers said the men forced a clerk and a customer down onto the ground, then ransacked the cash register.

Police are still investigating.
