UTSA football recruit accused of sexual assault
Austin-area high school football player Gregory Raymond Kelley accused of sexually assaulting boy, 4
An Austin-area high school football player who is committed to UTSA is facing charges after being accused by authorities of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old boy.
The Austin American-Statesman reports Gregory Raymond Kelley was charged Monday with aggravated sexual assault of a child.
Kelley, 18, is free on a $50,000 bond. He is a senior at Leander High School which is located about 25 miles northwest of Austin.
According to an arrest warrant, the 4-year-old boy told authorities that Kelley had inappropriate contact with him on two occasions at an in-home daycare in the nearby town of Cedar Park.
Authorities say Kelley, an all-district football player, lived in the home between December 2012 and June 2013.
According to Rivals.com, Kelley is verbally committed to the 2014 UTSA class, and had also received offers from Texas State and Rice.
A UTSA spokesman says they can not comment on players who have not signed or are not enrolled at the university.
