SAN ANTONIO -

VIA Metropolitan Transit has revised some of its San Antonio bus routes.

The changes go into effect March 3.

  • 17: IH-35 Express – Schedule will be improved by adding a morning trip from Randolph Park and Ride to downtown and adjusting other trip times. Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Saturdays and Sundays.
  • 24: East Houston Frequent – Route will be modified to travel inbound on Houston Street all the way to Chestnut Street rather than using Crockett Street and Cherry Street.
  • 28: Porter – Service will be increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Sundays.
  • 76: Old Highway 90 West – Service will be increased from every 30 minutes to every 20 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Sundays.
  • 502: Thousand Oaks – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Saturdays.
  • 524: General McMullen Frequent – Schedule will be adjusted to improve adherence during some post-meridian hours. Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Sundays.
  • 604: Medical Center/University Heights – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Saturdays.
  • 613: Heritage NW/Kel-Lac – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Saturdays.
  • 616: Sky Harbour/Kel-Lac – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Saturdays.
  • 619: Kel-Lac/Indian Creek – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during peak commute periods on weekdays.
  • 620: Northwest Vista College/Ingram – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during peak commute periods on weekdays.
  • 630: Randolph/Sunrise – Industry Park branch will be extended to serve the Artisan Apartments on Binz-Engelman Road near the San Antonio Military Medical Center.
  • 632: Randolph/Ventura – Service will be increased from every 60 minutes to every 30 minutes during midday peak ridership period on Sundays.

In addition to the above changes, the following route schedules will be adjusted: 93, 100, and 660.
