VIA to host open house on expanding Primo service

Public asked to weigh in on Military Drive, Zarzamora Primo runs

SAN ANTONIO – VIA Metropolitan Transit will host two open house events about the South/West Corridor Transit Improvements Project, which would expand Primo service for two of its highest-use corridors.

VIA plans to expand Primo service for the Zarzamora Street and Military Drive corridors.

The route planned for the Military Drive Primo runs from Interstate 37 on the east to the Kel-Lac Transit Center on the city's west side. The route planned for the Zarzamora Primo runs from Madla Transit Center on the south, goes north to Fredericksburg Road and connects to the South Texas Medical Center Transit Center.

The open house events are scheduled for 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 17 in the Texas Diabetes Institute Auditorium at 701 S. Zarzamora St., served by route 520, and from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Feb. 18 at Harlandale Community Center at 7227 Briar Place, served by routes 43, 550 and 551.
