SAN ANTONIO -

A spokeswoman with the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas confirmed to KSAT a local volunteer is under investigation for making "inappropriate material" available to a minor.

The Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas issued a statement Thursday evening that read:

"The safety and protection of our members is the organization’s top priority. It has been discovered that a volunteer provided inappropriate material to a child. The organization is taking all precautions to protect our members, has notified the proper authorities and is cooperating with law enforcement."

The statement did not specify what material was involved or if the volunteer was a male or female.

An allegation was made this week and officials with the Girl Scouts conducted an investigation. No charges had been filed as of Thursday evening.
