WATCH: Street artist creates depictions of political figures

Michael Bailey enjoys drawing

Michael Bailey draws because it’s what he likes to do.

“I love to draw and I’m good drawing all kinds of people,” Bailey said.

Some of his drawings are celebrities, some are politicians.

And this is a good year to draw those.

“I thought this election was kind of interesting to do so I did a Bernie Sanders, a Hillary Clinton, and a Donald Trump," Bailey said. "It’s very interesting what’s going on.”

The thing that differentiates Bailey from other artists is that he’s homeless. Though he does however own a car.

Though he said he isn't political, Bailey's drive to create portraits of presidents and those who aspire to be one that has taken him from Cleveland to Philly.

Bailey said he thinks he draws pretty well.

“Pretty good, pretty good. It’s not consistent enough for me to get a business started. Some days I don’t make anything,” he said.

Bailey said he doesn’t ask for much for his drawings. In fact, he often doesn’t ask for anything. One could easily take a print for free.

He said his customers would never do that.

“I work hard for the money," he said.

After two conventions and dozens of prints sold he said there’s one candidate who would win the election based on popularity.

“Bernie Sanders. He beat Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton on pictures."
