SAN ANTONIO -

Country music icon Willie Nelson has included San Antonio in his 2014 tour schedule.

Nelson, who, at 80 years old, still plays nearly 200 dates a year, will play San Antonio’s Majestic Theatre in February.

Nelson made it clear that he does not plan any final farewell tours -- as many other entertainers have done.

“I’m not going to do that,” he said. “There will be a last one, but it won’t be me advertising that this will be my final tour. ... I’m not quitting."

He said he is in good health and suggested that using marijuana is a positive contributing factor.

Nelson has been an outspoken advocate for the legalization of marijuana.

“I quit smoking. I quit drinking,” he said. “And I doubled up on pot.”

Nelson said that in spite of his age, he doesn’t give his mortality a second thought.

“I can’t do a damn thing about what happened this morning or what will happen after later,” he said. “The only thing I have control over is right now and that’s where I live.”

Tickets for them Majestic Theatre show go on sale on Friday.
