SAN ANTONIO -

A winter weather advisory has been extended until 4 p.m. Friday for San Antonio and the surrounding areas.

A winter weather advisory means that there could be periods of freezing rain, sleet and/or snow that could cause some travel difficulties.

At the present time, we are concerned with freezing rain. It will be light but cause some icy conditions mainly on bridges and overpasses but some roads cannot be ruled out if they see more precipitation.

The window to see wintry precipitation will be from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

Temperatures are expected to be in the 30s across much of the area. Wind chills will be in the 20s and 30s.

Keep it tuned to KSAT-12 and KSAT.com for updates.
