Winter weather advisory issued for San Antonio area

SAN ANTONIO -

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory for the San Antonio area from 6 a.m. to noon Friday.

Freezing drizzle, light freezing rain and sleet might be a factor during the advisory window.

The weather may set the stage for a dicey morning commute. Motorists may encounter some light ice accumulations bridges, overpasses and some surface-based roadways.

Wind chills are expected to be in the teens and 20s in the morning, but the temperature is expected to reach the 40s in the afternoon.
