A 28-year-old Northeast Side resident has been arrested in connection with a shooting at an East side home last week.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that two witnesses to the shooting helped San Antonio police quickly identify the shooter as Robert Briggs.
It stated that they told investigators a man knocked on the door of a home in the 600 block of Potomac Street June 10 and asked for the victim, a 31-year-old man, by name.
The witnessed said that as the victim followed the suspect outside, Briggs suddenly turned and fired three or four shots, the affidavit stated.
The victim was able to wrestle the gun away, and the suspect took off, the affidavit stated.
One witness was able to identify Briggs by name as the shooter, while the other picked him out of a photo lineup, the affidavit stated.
Briggs was booked into the Bexar County Jail Tuesday on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
