SAN ANTONIO -

A 21-year-old woman is accused of using credit cards stolen from an elderly woman who was knocked to the ground in a West Side parking lot.

San Antonio police arrested Iesha Rodriguez on outstanding warrants a day after the Dec. 29 attack, an arrest affidavit stated. A charge of credit card abuse was added Wednesday.

According to the affidavit, a 72-year-old woman was leaving Walmart in the 8900 block of W. Military Drive on Dec. 29 when another woman jumped out of a car, grabbed her purse and knocked her to the ground.

San Antonio police received information the following day that at least one of the credit cards in the victim's purse had been used at a Valero store in the 1300 block of Callaghan Road, the affidavit stated.

Detectives obtained surveillance video from the store which they said showed the person using the stolen card and the getaway car, the affidavit stated.

San Antonio patrol officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle that same day and found Rodriguez, along with the victim's stolen cards, inside the car, the affidavit stated.
