Woman arrested in fatal stabbing at Walmart parking lot

Jasmine Segovia charged with murder, assault with bodily injury

SAN ANTONIO – The woman suspected of fatally stabbing another woman in a Walmart parking lot nearly a week ago has been arrested.

San Antonio police officers arrested 21-year-old Jasmine Marie Segovia around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Police had identified Segovia as the suspect and released her name to the public on Friday.

Segovia is charged with murder and assault with bodily injury.

The stabbing occurred Sunday night at the Walmart at Loop 1604 and Potranco Road.

Witnesses said they saw Segovia fighting with the victim, 30-year-old Latosha Rich, before she was stabbed.

Rich was stabbed in the chest and died at the scene. Police believe the two women knew each other.
