Woman killed in southeast side car accident

A woman who was ejected from a car and died in a Southeast Side crash has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.  

Teresa Arocha, 30, was the female passenger in a car that crashed Sunday around 2:30 a.m. Sunday near South Presa Street and Natchez Trail.

According to San Antonio police, the driver and Arocha were traveling south on Presa Street when the driver struck a median, lost control of the car and went down a ditch into brush.

Arocha was thrown about 50 feet from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, San Antonio police said. The driver's name had not been released as of 10 p.m. Sunday.
