A woman was shocked to find a piece of razor blade hidden inside a Dunkin Donuts croissant.

Priscilla Salas visited a Dunkin’ Donuts in Windam, Conn. to get a croissant, as she had done several times in the past. According to WVIT NBC Connecticut, Salas reported feeling a sharp pain after biting into the pastry. Upon further inspection, the source of the pain ended up being metal shards from a razor blade.

Dunkin’ Donuts’ corporate office told Salas that the metal could possibly be from a box cutter and that it ended up in the croissant when it was at a distribution center prior to being sold in the store.

In a statement, Dunkin Donuts called this an isolated incident and has apologized to Salas.
