A woman who was found shot to death inside her north San Antonio home has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office. Officials identified the victim as 71-year-old Sandra Johnson.

Investigators said Johnson was shot at least once in the upper body. Her body was discovered around 5 p.m. Monday by a relative at the home in the 4300 block of Hollow Hill.

Police also recovered a gun inside the home, but had no witnesses as of Monday night and questioned several people.

“We don't believe anyone was in the house other than whoever it was who shot her but at this point there were no witnesses that were in the house," San Antonio police Ofc. Javier Salazar said.

San Antonio police are trying to determine if foul play was involved and have not ruled out anything.
