Woman hospitalized after being stabbed on West Side

Incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in 2800 block of General Hudnell Dr

SAN ANTONIO – A woman is recovering from an assault and stabbing overnight, San Antonio police said Friday.

The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. in the 2800 block of General Hudnell Drive, found near the Lowell Academy on the near West Side.

Police said a 46-year-old woman was arguing with her boyfriend at the Shade Tree Apartments. That's when, police said, the boyfriend assaulted her and someone stabbed her in the neck.

The woman was taken to University Hospital with the stab wound and face and neck trauma.

Police said they are holding the boyfriend and another person for questioning.

The investigation is ongoing.
